Product design and ecommerce development · 2026
We Are Nubi designed and built from scratch the ecommerce for FPI, a pharmacy in Spain with a physical counter, so it could open online sales. The challenge wasn't building just another store: the customer has to trust what they're buying, find what they're looking for among hundreds of products even without knowing the exact name, and feel that the online store is as serious as the counter. It's one of Nubi's custom web development projects.
FPI wanted to open a sales channel that didn't exist until then: buying from the pharmacy without setting foot in it. The problem is that buying from a pharmacy isn't like buying from any ecommerce. The customer needs to trust what they're buying, find what they're looking for among hundreds of products, often without knowing the exact name of what they need, and feel that the online store is as serious as the counter. Designing and building that ecommerce from scratch, with nothing to build on, was the real challenge.
We built FPI's ecommerce 100% custom, with a design that follows the pharmacy's branding and a shopping experience built specifically for this industry. We developed the catalog's category tree from scratch, organized so customers can find what they need even without knowing what it's called, and optimized to improve conversion. We added SEO so the pharmacy gains visibility on search engines, and included home delivery, integrated with Correos and SEUR, so the online purchase completes end to end. And as part of the infrastructure behind all of this, we connected the ecommerce to Unycop, the catalog and stock system the pharmacy already uses at the counter, so both channels stay in sync with no manual work.
We worked side by side with FPI's team, with constant feedback throughout development to adapt every design and product decision to how the pharmacy actually operates.
FPI opened a sales channel that didn't exist before, with the online store synced to counter stock and end-to-end home delivery.
This ecommerce let us reach a new audience and open a new sales channel. — Ana, Partner at FPI
